27.- The Roman Road

Objectives:

  To learn to observe and interpret a scale model.

  To understand the complexity of a traffic net.

  To analyse Roman transport systems.

Place: Camp d’Aprenentatge.

Level: From 10 to 18 years old students.

Time: School year.

Activity:
Type: Workshop.
Description:

Romans planned a net of roads which joined the main places of the Empire. On this scale model, we will describe Roman roads and how they were built, their functions, who built them.

Material: Written dossier, a scale model, Roman measure instruments, tools.
Time: Half a day.
Means of transport: By Bus.

Observations:

It could share legionary’s activities.
