32.- Travelling throughout the time: Tarragona in the Middle Age
Objectives:
To be aware of the historical development of the city, from the first inhabitants to the Medieval Age, and know the main facts which caused it.
To identify the structure and social stratification of the city of Tarragona in the Medieval Age.
To facilitate to students the knowledge and use of analysing techniques and data study portraying the past of the city.

Description:
We suggest the study of the historical development of the city from its origin to the Middle Age. Students, divided in groups, look for information, put the material in order and speak up to their classmates, in a systematic and graphic way, about their section, in order to achieve a through understanding of the city and its preserved buildings. Then, they will make a booklet with information.
Material:
We suggest the study of the historical development of the city since its beginnings to the middle Age. Students are divided into 5 teams, look for information, and put the material in order.
Time:
Half a day.
Means of transport:
On foot.
Observacions:
Students must be divided into teams (4-5 members) for the itineraries. It is convenient to know to use maps.
