| Description: |
We suggest a laboratory experiment, a simulation, to reproduce the pre- treatment in EDAR. Thus, students manufacture “sewage”. The objective is to pre treat urban sewage carried away from houses, small industries or rain. In this experiment, only physical processes intervene, like the ones use by EDAR in Tarragona, and permit to dispose of thick solids, sands, and greasy substances. Then, we visit the “Sewage Treatment Plant” in Tarragona (EDAR), where students will comment about the factory in a guided way.

Didactic guide for teachers and students. Laboratory: precipitate glasses, silt basin, filters, thin sticks, small spoons. Earth. Sand, ear sticks, plastic objects, milk, oil, etc. |
