TARRAGONA IN ROMAN TIMES TO RETURN ACTIVITIES  

47.- Rome in miniature

Objectives:

  To observe, to analyse and to interpret scale models.

  To identify the main documents of a Roman city.

  To tell the difference between the main buildings.


Curricular area:

Social Sciences. Classical Culture. History of Art. Language. Technology.

Camp d’Aprenentatge.

From 8 to 18 years old students.

Description:

They are distributed into the room of the Museum and shift to work on scale models where Roman daily life is shown. They will go from religious buildings (temples), commercials (taverns, forum), leisure activities (circus, amphitheatre), army (fortress, campsite), dwellings (villas, domus, insulae).

Material: About 40 scale models and written material.
Time: A morning session.
Means of transport: By bus to the CdA.

Observations:

A collection of scale models gifted by Conxita Cullellmir, a Secondary School teacher in Sant Boi de Llobregat.
