TARRAGONA IN ROMAN TIMES TO RETURN ACTIVITIES  

49.- Rome at school

Objectives:

  To get close to Roman daily life.

  To learn some of the aspects of ancient life depending sexes.

  To practise Latin writing with reeds and ink.


Curricular area:

Social Sciences. Classical Culture. Technology.


Place: Registered centre.

Level: From 8 to 12 years old students.

Time: Third term.

Activity:
Type: Initial explanation.
Description:

From the birth of a Roman boy, we portray his childhood, his Roman clothes, showing objects referred to daily life and finally practising Roman writing on parchments, with reeds and ink.

Material:

Powerpoint and a truck with childhood objects, hygiene, tools, School, and rituals...

Time: 2 hours.
Means of transport: CdA teachers go to schools to perform this activity.

Observations:

This activity is addressed to 10 years old pupils to prepare Tarraco Viva.
