50.- Building elements and techniques in the Roman epoch

Objectives:

  To understand the value of Roman architecture.

  To understand how buildings were built.

  To manipulate the reconstruction of architectural elements.

Description:

Direct experimentation to understand elementary process to build a house, the way Roman raised ashlars and all the technologic systems of that time.

Material:

Scale model of an arch, vaults, tools, ashlars, systems to carry them.

Time:

One morning.

Means of transport:

By Bus.
